Finsbury Park Reservoir

September 2013

Also known as Hornsey Wood Reservoir, this enormous underground reservoir situated in Finsbury park, London has been decommissioned by the water board because of fears of a collapsing roof. It was built in the 1860's, the name Hornsey Wood Reservoir is painted on one of the walls in classic Victorian typeface. The reservoir is capable of holding up to 5 million gallons of water and it's sheer size leaves you in awe.
